Over the last few months, we have all experienced a dramatic shift in work in response to the COVID pandemic. Our new reality doesn’t respect the boundaries of work and life. Many of us are stuck at home, faced with isolation, distraction and uncertainty.

Many people were initially excited to work from home, skip their commute, and change pace for a few weeks. But as weeks have dragged into months with no clear end in sight, working from home has taken a toll on most teams. 

We surveyed clients to learn more about the challenges they’re facing now that they’ve been working remotely for 2 months:

Managers face tremendous pressure to help their struggling teams, but they too are facing many of the same challenges and stresses while trying to lead a team that needs increasing levels of support.

To help teams cope and regain productivity, teams need to come together to understand how each other are coping and the underlying reasons for their struggles. Only then as a team can they begin to understand how to adjust to this new context - adjust expectations, communications, workload, roles - during this time, and how they can better support one another.
